Fresh Strawberry Pie

Boil 7-Up, sugar, salt and cornstarch until thick and clear.
Remove from heat and add strawberry Jell-O.
Cool completely.
Line bottom of a baked pie shell with a few strawberries.
Add remaining strawberries to the cooked mixture.
Top with whipped cream.
