Brown meat in oil.
Reduce heat and stir in soup and 6 cans water.
Add tomato paste, salt, pepper and basil.
Simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours.

Simmer, covered, 30 minutes or until vegetables and meat are tender.
Stir in cheese.
