French-Style Peas
French-Style Peas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. butter or margarine, several large outside lettuce leaves, 2 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In large skillet with tight fitting lid, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Spread 2 or 3 lettuce leaves in skillet.
Add peas and chives.
Sprinkle with salt, sugar and pepper.
Dot with remaining 3 tablespoons butter.
Cover; cook over low heat for 30 minutes, or until peas are tender.
To serve, discard lettuce leaves. Serves 8.
