French Crumb Cake
French Crumb Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sour cream, 1 1/2 tsp. soda, 1/2 lb. butter, 4 eggs, separated and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix sour cream with soda; set aside.
Cream butter and egg yolks.
Add sugar.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Add dry mixture and sour cream alternately to butter mixture.
Add vanilla.
Beat egg whites.
Fold into batter.
Mix remaining ingredients together.
Sprinkle over batter.
Cut through batter with knife.
Pour into 8 x 11 1/2-inch greased pan.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350Β°.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over top if desired.
