French Cinnamon Puffs
French Cinnamon Puffs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 1/2 c. flour and 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Heat oven at 350Β°.
Grease muffin cups (mini muffins work well).
Mix sugar, shortening and eggs.
Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg, alternately with milk.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until light brown.
Mix 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon.
Immediately roll hot muffins in melted margarine and then roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture.
