Beat the shortening, sugar and egg.
Sift the sifted flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in alternately with the milk. Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes in muffin cups which have been lined with papers. While still hot, roll in 6 tablespoons melted butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Best served hot.
