Flat Apple Pie
Flat Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. flour, 1 c. shortening, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten with milk to make 2/3 c. and 4 handfuls corn flakes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Make dough with first 5 ingredients.
Divide in half and roll out the first one to fit a 12 x 18-inch cookie sheet.
Cover with corn flakes, then with apples, then with sugar.
Dot with butter; sprinkle with cinnamon and then top with rolled out second ball of dough.

Bake at 375Β° for 45 to 50 minutes.
