Flaming Bananas
Flaming Bananas is an easy dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. butter or oleo, 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed, 1/4 c. dark rum, 3 medium to large bananas, sliced and 2 tbsp. brandy or rum, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Put butter and brown sugar into chafing dish or 8-inch skillet.
Heat, stirring, until sugar and butter are combined. Add 1/4 cup dark rum.
Slice bananas into pan and simmer 7 or 8 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons of brandy or rum in a large spoon. Ignite and turn into pan.
Stir gently until flame burns out. Serve at once over hard-frozen vanilla ice cream.
Serves 6.
