Five Day Coconut Cake

Mix together coconut, 16 ounce sour cream, 2 cups sugar and
1 teaspoon vanilla.
Place in refrigerator overnight. Next day, cream butter and 3 cups sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
Stir soda into 1/2 pint of sour cream; add to eggs and sugar alternately with flour.
Add vanilla and blend thoroughly.
