Fireside Stew
Fireside Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 2 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, 4 or 5 carrots, sliced, 5 potatoes, cut into pieces, 3 onions, chopped and 1 can beef consomme, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
👨🍳 Instructions
Do not brown meat.
Place all ingredients, except biscuits, into a large casserole dish and blend well.
Cover and bake for 3 to 4 hours at 300°.
When meat is tender, increase heat to 400° and top stew with biscuits.
Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown.
