Filled Cookies
Filled Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. oleo, 1/2 c. sweet milk, pinch of salt and 1 1/2 to 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream oleo, sugar and salt; add beaten egg and vanilla.
Beat together good.
Add your flour sifted with baking powder and soda. Beat together well; then take small amount on floured board and pat it out.
(I do not roll mine.)
Cut with a cookie cutter.
I use a juice glass.
Put a teaspoon of filling on bottom cookie; cover with top cookie.
Make a slit in top and sugar each cookie with a little sugar.
I use raisin filling or Solo brand apricot, raspberry or any other.
