Cut figs up into small pieces.

Mix figs and soda in a small bowl; let stand.

In a separate medium sized bowl, blend margarine and sugar.

Add eggs, figs and water.

Stir well.

In a separate large bowl, mix all dry ingredients together.

Now add other bowl. Add nuts and blend well.

Scoop teaspoon or tablespoon size and place on cookie sheet.

Bake 10 minutes at 350Β°.

These cookies freeze well.
