Favorite Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. honey, 1 egg, beaten, 2 1/2 c. flour and 3/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening; continue to cream, while adding honey in fine stream.
Add egg.
Add flour, salt, soda, baking powder and cinnamon.
Add oats, raisins, water and vanilla.
Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
