Cream margarine.
Add sugar gradually.
Add egg.
Add flour gradually.
Beat well.
Add pecans and vanilla.
Divide into two or three parts and shape into logs.

Cut into 1/8-inch or 1/4-inch slices and bake in oven at 350Β° until browned.
