Stir together flour, soda and salt.
Combine butter, sugar and extract.
Mix well.
Beat in egg.
Add flour mixture and beat until smooth.

Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Yields 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
