Fat-Free Cornbread
Fat-Free Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. cornmeal, 1/3 c. whole wheat flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Use an 8-inch square nonstick pan, or a regular pan coated with a nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and baking soda.
In a small bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
Add to flour mixture and blend thoroughly.
Pour into pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until springy to the touch.
