Fannie Mae Fudge
Fannie Mae Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, 3 3/8 c. white sugar, 1 1/8 c. packed brown sugar, 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk and 1/2 lb. marshmallows, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine margarine, milk and sugars in large heavy saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to a boil.
Boil 5 minutes.
Turn off heat and add marshmallows.
Stir until dissolved.
Add 3 kinds of chocolate, one at a time.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into lightly greased 10 x 15 pan.
Will keep for several months in refrigerator.
Makes approximately 5 pounds.
