Famous Feud Cake
Famous Feud Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. fine ground pecans, 6 eggs, separated, 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 2 1/2 tbsp. plain flour and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Beat egg yolks (by hand) for 15 minutes, adding sugar gradually.
Add flour and baking powder, sifted.
Add the pecan meal.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Bake in 2 layers in a moderate oven preheated to 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Put layers together with 1 pint of whipped cream (I used almost a quart), sweetened and flavored with vanilla extract.
Pile thick between layers, on sides and top.
Sprinkle with ground pecans.
