Family Casserole
Family Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger, cooked, drained and crumbled, 1 medium onion, halved and sliced, 1/2 tsp. minced garlic, 2 potatoes, peeled, sliced very thin and 2 carrots, peeled, sliced very thin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven to 350°.
In a saucepan, combine beef, onion, garlic and 1/4 cup water; cook until onions are tender.
Spread half of potatoes in a 3 quart casserole.
Top with half of meat mixture, then carrots, then cheese, then remaining meat mixture. Mix soup with 1/2 soup can of water; pour over casserole and top with remaining potatoes.
Bake, uncovered at 350° for approximately 1 hour.
When potatoes are fork tender, combine biscuit mix with enough milk to make a thin consistency; pour over casserole.
Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until dough is lightly browned.
Yield: 6 servings.
