English Trifle
English Trifle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake mix, 1 large can fruit cocktail, 1 box strawberry jello, 1 box instant vanilla pudding and dream whip or fresh whipping cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Let cool.
Tear cake into small pieces and sprinkle of bottom of 10-inch pan or casserole
Drain fruit cocktail (save juice to make jello) and sprinkle top of cake.
Add nuts.
Make jello according to directions, using juice from fruit cocktail along with cold water.
Sherry may be added to jello according to taste.
Pour jello and fruit cocktail.
Let set, preferably overnight.
Instant pudding and spread over set jello. Make Dream Whip and spread over pudding.
