English Toffee Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter, 1 c. sugar, yolk of 1 egg, save white, 2 c. sifted flour and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream butter and sugar well; add egg yolk, cinnamon and vanilla.
Spread in large flat pan sprayed with Pam.
Spread unbeaten egg white on top.
Drain off excess.
Add 1 cup chopped nuts sprinkled and pressed on top.
Bake at 325Β° about 25 minutes. Do not overcook.
Cut while hot.
Leave in pan until cool.
