English Toffee
English Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter, 1 tbsp. water, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 c. sugar and 1/4 c. chopped nuts (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Measure all ingredients, except chips.
Line cookie sheet with foil.
Over medium heat, melt butter.
Add sugar and water slowly. Stir constantly until mixture turns tan.
(Hard ball stage.)
The lighter the mixture, the softer the candy.
Pour on cookie sheet. Spread chips over immediately.
Sprinkle nuts over mixture.
Cool. Break into pieces.
