English Toffee
English Toffee is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cube margarine, 2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3 tbsp. water and 1 small pkg. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Melt margarine in a heavy skillet.
Add sugar and water. Bring to a boil.
Stir constantly.
Allow to boil until margarine mixture turns golden brown (hard ball stage).
Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
Stir and then pour into a cookie sheet with sides. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes, then sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Chips will melt.
Spread chocolate.
Sprinkle nuts and allow to cool.
Cut in chunks.
