English Toffee is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 5 tbsp. water, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 sq. chocolate (to be melted and added later) and 3/4 c. butter (land o lakes), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Melt butter and add other ingredients.
Stir and cook until candy thermometer reaches 310°.
Pour over nuts which have been toasted for 15 minutes at 200° on a buttered cookie sheet.
When cool, spread 2 squares melted chocolate over candy.
(Use white or dark chocolate.)
Break into pieces when cool.
Tastes like a Heath bar.
