English Toffee is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. butter, 1 1/4 c. water, 1 2/3 c. sugar, 1 1/4 c. nuts, chopped coarsely and 4 tsp. corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In heavy pan, melt butter; add sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook on medium heat to 300Β°.
Remove from heat; stir in 1 1/4 cups nuts.
Spread in 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
Lay chocolate bars on top.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup nuts on top.
Crack in pieces when cool.
