English Toffee
English Toffee is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 1/3 c. sugar, 2 sq. melted baking chocolate, cooled, 2 tsp. vanilla and 2 eggs (equivalent of in egg substitute), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup butter and powdered sugar.
Spread 2/3 of mixture on bottom of 9 x 12-inch pan.
Cream 1 cup butter with 1 1/3 cups sugar for 5 minutes, until light and fluffy. Combine chocolate, vanilla and 2 eggs or egg substitute.
Beat for 3 minutes; add to creamed butter and sugar.
Add 2 more eggs (or substitute) and dry milk.
Place in crumb lined pan; sprinkle remaining 1/3 of crumb mixture on top.
Chill 24 hours.
