English Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. butter (not margarine), 2 c. sugar, 3/4 to 1 lb. almonds, chopped, semi-sweet chocolate chips and slivered almonds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Butter 11 x 17-inch cookie sheet well.
Toast almonds 10 minutes at 300° (watch carefully not to burn).
Combine in saucepan, butter, sugar and almonds, stirring constantly, to 300°. Pour on cookie sheet; sprinkle on top semi-sweet chocolate chips; spread with spatula until melted.
Sprinkle on slivered almonds when cool completely and break up like peanut brittle.
