English Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. butter, 2 c. chopped nuts, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits or several hershey bars, 2 c. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Melt butter.
Add sugar. Stir until blended. Add 1 1/2 cups nuts. Stir/cook until pulls away from sides of pan.
Add cream of tartar. Stir vigorously. Cook until pinkish tan color.
Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle chocolate. Spread when melted. Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts on top.
