Elephant Ears
Elephant Ears is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast, 1/2 c. lukewarm water, 2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Add salt, sugar, water, shortening and egg.
Mix well.
Stir in flour, 1/2 cup at a time until smooth. Break off pieces the size of an egg.
Roll out 1/4 inch thick on floured surface.
Deep-fry in shortening.
When brown and crisp, remove and dust with sugar and cinnamon.
