Place bread cubes in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle cheese over bread.
Beat eggs with milk, add salt and mustard; pour over bread and cheese.
Add peppers, mushrooms and onions, if desired.
Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
