Easy Italian Casserole
Easy Italian Casserole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 clove garlic, crushed, 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce and 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cook and stir beef, onion and garlic until brown; drain.
Stir in sauce, mushrooms, sugar, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
Heat to boiling, stirring, and reduce heat.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Grease 8 x 8 x 2-inch dish.
Mix Bisquick, milk and egg.
Spread half in pan.
Top with 4 slices of cheese.
Spoon beef over cheese.
Top with remaining cheese slices; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Drop remaining dough by spoonful onto cheese and bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
