Easy Fruit Cake
Easy Fruit Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 1/4 c. water, 1/3 c. shortening, 1 c. raisins and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Bring sugar, water, shortening and raisins to a boil.
Let cool a little. Add flour, soda and salt.
Stir to mix. Add fruit cake mix and chopped nuts. Grease a loaf pan. Cut waxed or brown paper to fit bottom of pan and grease again.
Pour batter in pan and bake at 325Β° for 1 hour or until done. Remove from pan and remove paper. Glaze with honey and decorate with cherries or nuts.
