Easy Apple Cake
Easy Apple Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. apples, peeled and thinly sliced, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 c. chopped walnuts and 1 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Place apples in a 9-inch round, well buttered baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon over the apples. Next, sprinkle the walnuts over the apples. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt.
Set it aside. In another bowl, combine the egg, water, evaporated milk and melted butter. Add the egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture.
Mix until smooth.
Pour the batter over the apples. Bake approximately an hour (or until golden brown) in a 325Β° oven. A great breakfast cake. Can be served warm or cool. Kids love it.
