Easter Sweet Bread
Easter Sweet Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. dry yeast (mix with 1/4 c. warm water), 2/3 c. scalded milk (5 1/2 oz.), 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. melted butter and 3 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

In large bowl, put milk.
Slowly beat in sugar, salt and butter.
Then add eggs and 1 cup flour.
Mix in slowly.
Then add yeast mixture and mix well.
Add vanilla and lemon and mix.
Add rest of flour, little at a time.
Keep mixing until dough is soft. Grease large bowl.
Place dough in flour 1 hour.
Punch down. Let it rise for 30 minutes.
Then roll and braid; form into a circle.
Place on a cookie sheet for 30 minutes.
Brush 1 egg and 1 teaspoon milk.
Sprinkle colored candies all over.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
