Earthquake Cake
Earthquake Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. coconut, 1 c. pecans, chopped, 1 box german chocolate or swiss chocolate cake mix (don't use mix with pudding added), 1 lb. pkg. powdered sugar (2 c.) and 1 stick butter or oleo, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Grease and flour 8 x 14-inch or 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Spread coconut and pecans on bottom.
Mix cake according to package directions.
Pour over coconut and pecans.
Melt butter or oleo.
Add cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Mix well.
Spread over cake.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes.
Cake will crack down the middle hence its name.
