Earthquake Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. coconut, 1 c. nuts, 1 box german chocolate cake mix, 8 oz. cream cheese and 1 stick butter, softened, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mix and spread coconut and nuts in pan.
Mix the cake mix as directed on the box and pour over the first layer.
Mix the cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar together.
Beat until creamy.
Pour over the cake mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Cake will crack in the middle.
