Dutch Chocolate Cake
Dutch Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2 c. flour, 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. shortening and 4 tbsp. cocoa powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together sugar and flour. Combine margarine, shortening, cocoa and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Pour over flour and sugar mixture and mix well. Cool a little and add buttermilk, soda, vanilla, eggs and cinnamon.
Mix well.
Batter will be thin.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 40 minutes at 375Β°.
