Cream together shortening, sugar, egg, soda, salt, vanilla and milk and blend in flour.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with bottom of moistened glass which has been dipped in sugar.
Sprinkle more sugar on top.
Bake at 400Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
