Drop Sugar Cookies
Drop Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1/2 tsp. soda, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. butter or margarine and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Have ingredients at room temperature.
Sift flour with soda and salt.
Cream butter and shortening with sugar and vanilla. Add egg.
Cream until mixture is fluffy.
Stir in dry ingredients until mixture is smooth.
Blend in milk.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten batter with bottom of a water glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 400Β° for 12 minutes.
Makes 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
