Dottie Atkinson's French Mints
Dottie Atkinson'S French Mints is an easy dinner. Made with 1 box xxxx sugar, 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 tsp. pure peppermint extract or 12 drops oil flavoring, 2 tbsp. hot water and 8 drops food coloring (depending on desired color), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Sugar.
Cream the butter and sugar together.
Add water, flavoring food color and mix well by hand.
Roll into marble size balls and dip in fine sugar.
Press sugared ball down in mold.
Remove any excess mixture to make it even with the mold and unmold by putting a finger on all 4 corners of mold with the back of the mold and turning out on wax paper.
