Dorothy's Rice Balls
Dorothy'S Rice Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. cooked rice (not instant), 3/4 c. romano cheese, 3/4 c. italian bread crumbs (seasoned), 1/2 tsp. minced garlic and 1/2 tsp. oregano, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cook rice and let cool.
Mix all ingredients except egg. Shape into balls (golf ball size). Roll in bread crumbs, then in beaten egg, then in bread crumbs again.
Be sure rice balls are completely coated in bread crumbs. Prepare all the rice balls. Deep fry in hot oil until brown and remove with slotted spoon. Let cool.
May be frozen and reheated.
