Divinity Candy
Divinity Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1/2 c. hot water, 1/4 tsp. salt and 2 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Combine sugar, syrup, hot water and salt in 2-quart saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
After mix comes to a boil, cook without stirring to hard ball stage.
Remove from heat.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Pour hot mixture slowly into the egg whites while beating constantly.
Add vanilla and beat until candy forms soft peaks and begins to lose gloss.
Add nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
