Dilled Vegetable Sticks
Dilled Vegetable Sticks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. water, 3/4 c. vinegar, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 1 1/2 tbsp. chopped fresh dill weed or 1 1/2 tsp. dried whole dill weed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine the first 7 ingredients in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
Add beans, carrots and celery.
Return mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Place vegetables in a shallow container; pour vinegar mixture over vegetables.
Cover and chill at least 8 hours.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
