Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Combine cold water and enough ice cubes to measure 1 cup.
Add to gelatin and stir until slightly thickened.
Remove any unmelted ice.
Stir in yogurt and vanilla.
Pour into individual dishes and chill until set, about 30 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 cups of 5 servings.
