Diabetic Cake
Diabetic Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, melted, 1 tbsp. liquid sweetener, 2 c. self-rising flour, 1 c. chopped nuts or grape-nuts cereal (optional) and 1/4 tsp. clove, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream margarine, egg and sweetener.
Add baking powder, spices, flour and (I like pineapple the best) applesauce or pineapple.
Mix well.
Fold in dates and nuts.
(I leave nuts out to save on calories.)
Bake in loaf pan at 300Β° for 30 to 45 minutes.
Spray pan well before pouring batter in pan.
Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
This cake must be kept refrigerated.
