Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. crisco, 1 c. buttermilk, 2 unbeaten eggs and 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream sugar and Crisco.
Add unbeaten eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Sift together the cocoa and flour and add alternately with the buttermilk.
Start with flour and end with the flour mixture. Stir the soda into the hot coffee and add last.
Mix only to blend well.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan or into cupcake tins.
Bake 30 minutes for cake or 20 minutes for cupcakes at 350Β°.
