Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 2/3 c. sifted cake flour, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 3/4 tsp. baking soda, 1 1/2 c. milk and 3 sq. baker's unsweetened chocolate, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda.
Stir shortening until soft.
Add flour mixture and 1 cup milk.
Mix to dampen flour.
Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer or 300 strokes by hand.
Add remaining milk, eggs, chocolate and food coloring.
Beat 1 minute longer.
Bake at 350Β° in 3 (8-inch) pans for 30 to 35 minutes.
