Dessert Orange Balls
Dessert Orange Balls is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed by hand or in a food processor, 1 (6 oz.) can concentrated frozen orange juice, thawed, 1/2 c. softened butter, 1 lb. sifted powdered sugar and 1/2 to 1 c. finely chopped pecans (may be roasted, if desired), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix thawed but still slushy juice together with ingredients, except powdered sugar. Stir until smooth, adding the sifted powdered sugar, a little at a time.
Refrigerate the dough for 15 to 20 minutes. This allows tiny 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch balls to be rolled by pinching a bit of dough off and rolling on waxed paper. Roll the balls in powdered sugar and freeze in a container a couple of hours before serving.
