In a large bowl, mix strawberries and sugar.
Stir and let stand 10 minutes.
In saucepan, boil Sure-Jell in water for 1 minute.
Stir in strawberries and cook for 3 minutes.
Remove from stove and put into containers or sterile glass jars.
Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours before eating.
