Set eggs, margarine, shortening and milk out to reach room temperature.
Cream margarine and shortening well.
Add sugar gradually.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk.
Add vanilla.
Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350Β° or until done when tested with a straw.
